I have a bachelor’s degree in English Philology and master’s degree in Applied Linguistics of English with Translation. I improve my skills by taking various business and language courses, as well as attending conferences that may help me to develop.

I have the knowledge and resources necessary to fully localize client’s product and website for the Polish market. I use this knowledge to help international companies to bring their products closer to the Polish users. Whether talking about an IT company, home appliances or specialized equipment manufacturer, I take care of the assignment — personally or with my team. Nevertheless, majority of my work includes translating technical manuals and marketing materials.

I particularly enjoy cooperation with companies involved in Intelligent Transport System integration. This scope of work includes translation of contracts, tender documents, product data sheets, manuals and marketing materials. Even though this line of work can be very stressful and tedious, as the deadlines are usually tight, it allows me to be in a very interesting niche, where I know my contribution matters.

The tools I use most often, except for the brain and dictionaries, are SDL Trados, MemoQ and Wordfast. Each client receives a separate glossary and password protected folder with files to which they have access at any given time. I also use Quality Assurance software, such as XBench, in order to double check each translation. The final step in the process is reading the translated document out loud. This helps to catch any issues software would not find.
